Key points. AllerGo is a communication aid, not a guarantee of safety. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, and it does not verify what a dish contains. Translations were produced by automated means and may contain errors. Never rely on the app alone when deciding whether to eat something — always confirm directly with the person preparing or serving your food.
1. General
- These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the AllerGo mobile application (the “App”).
- The App is provided by Adrian Kazula, an individual, contact: bzul.dev@gmail.com (the “Provider”, “we”, “us”).
- The App is distributed through Google Play. Google’s own store, payment and account terms are set by Google and are not part of these Terms.
- You accept these Terms by ticking the relevant box when you first launch the App; the App records the accepted version and the date of acceptance locally on your device. The App cannot be used without accepting the Terms — if you do not accept them, please uninstall the App.
- The Terms are available free of charge at a permanent web address and from the App’s settings, in a form that allows you to download and store them.
2. What AllerGo is — and what it is not
- AllerGo is a tool that helps you communicate about food allergies. It produces information cards and questions in a selected language so that you can convey your allergies to people who do not speak your language.
- The App works offline, using content stored locally on your device; preparing a voice for read-aloud may require internet access.
- AllerGo is not a medical device within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745 or any other medical device legislation. It is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, prediction, prognosis, treatment or alleviation of disease.
- The App does not provide medical, nutritional or dietary advice and is not a substitute for consulting a doctor, allergist, dietitian or other qualified professional.
- The App does not verify or confirm the composition of any dish, its recipe, the origin of ingredients, the method of preparation, storage conditions or the procedures followed at any given venue.
- The App does not guarantee that any meal, product or drink is safe for you, free from a given allergen, or free from cross-contact (cross-contamination) during production, transport, storage or preparation.
- The App does not contact restaurants, manufacturers, medical professionals or emergency services, and does not act on your behalf.
3. Translations — no warranty of accuracy
This section is particularly important for your safety.
- The content, messages, allergen names and questions shown in foreign languages were produced by automated means, including machine translation and artificial-intelligence tools.
- The translations are not sworn or certified translations and have not been fully reviewed by native-speaker translators for every supported language.
- Translations may contain errors, inaccuracies, oversimplifications, literal renderings, outdated or imprecise culinary and medical terminology, and wording that in a particular country, region or dialect may be understood differently than intended, or not understood at all.
- Allergen and ingredient names do not always have exact equivalents across languages; the same word may cover a broader or narrower range of products than in your own language.
- The Provider does not warrant the correctness, completeness, unambiguity or communicative effectiveness of the translations and is not responsible for the consequences of a recipient misreading or misinterpreting them.
- If you need certainty about the content of a message — in particular where your allergy may cause severe or life-threatening reactions — you should have the card verified before use by a qualified translator, a fluent speaker of the language or another trusted source, and must not rely on the App alone.
- The read-aloud (TTS) feature uses the speech synthesis engine installed on your device’s operating system. Pronunciation, accent and intelligibility depend on that engine and are outside the Provider’s control.
4. Allergen, country and language data
- The catalogue of allergens, countries and languages in the App is compiled by the Provider and is not exhaustive. It may not cover every allergen, intolerance, substance, additive or reaction relevant to you.
- Allergen classifications and groupings are simplified and organisational. They do not reflect your individual diagnosis, nor the food-labelling rules of any particular country, which differ between jurisdictions.
- Content may not reflect the current state of knowledge, culinary practice or the law in force in the country you are visiting.
- The Provider may add, change or remove catalogue entries at any time, including allergens, countries, languages and illustrations.
5. Your responsibilities
- You use the App at your own risk and remain solely responsible for every decision about consuming any meal, product or drink.
- In relation to your use of the App, you undertake to:
- enter and keep truthful, current and complete information about your allergies — the App only shows what you entered;
- check the content of the card before showing it, including after any change of profile, allergens, country or language;
- refrain from using the App unlawfully, to mislead others, or in a way suggesting that its content constitutes official, medical or laboratory confirmation of food composition.
- Safety recommendations. The App is no substitute for caution or for being prepared for an allergic reaction. The Provider draws your attention to the following. You should:
- confirm directly the composition and preparation of your food with venue staff, the manufacturer or another competent person;
- follow your own doctor’s individual instructions, including any instructions about carrying emergency medication (for example an adrenaline auto-injector);
- know your own allergy action plan and the local emergency numbers where you are staying.
- The recommendations in paragraph 3 are informational and do not constitute medical advice. How you should manage treatment, emergency medication and your response to an allergic reaction is determined by your doctor, not by the App or the Provider.
6. Emergency features
- The emergency card and the emergency widget are solely a convenient way to display content you prepared earlier.
- They are not an emergency, alarm or telemedicine service. The App does not detect allergic reactions, does not notify anyone, does not call for help and does not replace contacting emergency services.
- In a situation that threatens health or life, call your local emergency number immediately and act in accordance with your own doctor’s instructions.
7. Technical requirements and availability
- You need an Android device running a supported version of the operating system, available storage and — for purchases — an active Google account with access to Google Play.
- The availability and quality of read-aloud (TTS), PDF export and widgets depend on your device model, system version, installed voices and manufacturer settings, and may differ or be unavailable on some devices.
- The Provider makes reasonable efforts to keep the App working correctly but does not warrant uninterrupted, error-free or fault-free operation, including after an operating system update or a change to device settings.
- Data you enter is stored locally on your device. It may be lost, in particular, if you uninstall the App, clear its data, or if the device fails or is lost. The App provides no cloud backup.
- The read-aloud feature works only in languages supported by the speech synthesis engine installed on your device. For some card languages no voice may be available; the card then remains available in written form, which works for every supported language. Voice availability depends on the speech engine provider and is outside the Provider's control. If a voice is missing, the App in its Pro version may try to download it automatically once you choose a destination or a card language, over an unmetered connection only (for example Wi-Fi). Where the connection is metered at that moment, the App asks you once per language. Confirming the download, or starting the read-aloud yourself, may download the voice over mobile data as well. Success depends on the speech engine, the device and the connection, is not guaranteed, and the download uses data. Current information: https://bzul85.github.io/allergo-legal/voice-languages/
8. Age requirement
- The App is intended for users aged 13 and over.
- Where the law of your country sets a higher minimum age for using digital services independently, that higher age applies.
- A minor may use the App only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Supervision of that use, entry of accurate allergy information and the resulting food decisions rest with the guardian under applicable law. The Provider exercises no control in this respect and does not verify users’ ages.
- The App is not directed to children under 13 and contains no content aimed at such users.
9. Free and AllerGo Pro
- The App is offered in a free version (“Free”) and a paid version (“Pro”) which unlocks additional features.
- The feature scope of each version is shown in the App and may change. A change does not remove an entitlement you have already paid for, for the period covered by your payment.
- Purchases are made exclusively through Google Play. Google is the seller and processes the payment. The Provider does not process your payment data.
- For subscription plans, the fee is charged periodically and the subscription renews automatically until cancelled. Cancellation, plan changes and renewal dates are managed in your Google Play subscription settings.
- The Pro entitlement is linked to your Google account and can be restored on another device using the restore-purchases function.
- Pro is granted only after Google Play confirms the purchase. Purchases awaiting confirmation do not unlock paid features. The App verifies entitlement status and may withdraw it in case of a refund, chargeback or expiry of the subscription.
10. Complaints and refunds
- Complaints about the App can be sent to bzul.dev@gmail.com. Please include your device model, system version, App version and a description of the problem.
- We handle complaints without undue delay and no later than 14 days from receiving a complete report, replying to the email address you provide.
- Refunds and payment disputes are handled by Google under Google Play’s policies, because Google is the seller.
- Consumers retain all rights granted by mandatory law, including rules on digital content and services and the right of withdrawal from distance contracts. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
11. Intellectual property
- The App, its interface, texts, allergen catalogue, illustrations, logo, the name “AllerGo” and its other elements are protected by law and belong to the Provider or its licensors.
- You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal purposes on devices under your control.
- You may not copy, modify, decompile, resell, rent out or redistribute the App or its content, or use its content commercially, without the Provider’s prior consent — except where mandatory law permits.
- Cards and PDF files you generate may be used freely by you to communicate your own allergies.
12. No warranty
- To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, continuity of operation, or the safety of any meal.
- This does not exclude or limit any consumer rights arising from mandatory law, including rights relating to the conformity of digital content with the contract.
13. Limitation of liability
- Subject to paragraph 3 and to the extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for:
- the consequences of consuming any meal, product or drink, including allergic and anaphylactic reactions and their effects;
- errors, inaccuracies or misunderstanding of translations and foreign-language content;
- the acts, omissions, incorrect information or negligence of third parties, in particular restaurants, staff, food manufacturers and carriers;
- information you entered, including incomplete, outdated or incorrect allergy data;
- the unavailability or malfunction of features that depend on your device, operating system or Google services, including TTS, PDF export, widgets and purchases;
- loss of data stored locally on your device;
- indirect loss, loss of profit and consequential damage.
- The Provider’s total liability to you, on all grounds combined, is limited to the amount you actually paid for AllerGo Pro in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, in particular liability for intentional misconduct, for death or personal injury caused by the Provider’s fault, and liability under mandatory consumer protection law.
- Nothing in these Terms seeks to exclude liability to the extent that doing so is not legally permitted. If any provision is found invalid or ineffective, the remaining provisions remain in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by the lawful arrangement closest to its purpose.
14. Changes to these Terms
- The Provider may amend the Terms for valid reasons, in particular a change in the App’s functionality, in sales arrangements, in Google Play requirements or in the law.
- The current version is published at a permanent web address together with its effective date.
- For material changes, the App will ask you to accept the Terms again at the next launch. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the App.
- Amendments do not affect rights you acquired before they took effect.
15. Ending your use
- You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling removes the data stored locally by the App.
- Uninstalling does not by itself cancel an active subscription — cancel it in your Google Play settings.
- The Provider may discontinue development or distribution of the App; in that case we will give reasonable notice where possible, and any paid periods will be settled under Google Play’s rules and applicable law.
16. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by Polish law.
- This choice of law does not deprive a consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.
- Consumers in the EU may use out-of-court dispute resolution, including the European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
- Disputes not resolved amicably are decided by the court having jurisdiction under applicable law.

18. Language versions
These Terms are published in Polish and English. Versions in other languages, if published, are provided for convenience. In the event of discrepancy the Polish version prevails, provided that this does not deprive a consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.
